Patrol Duty K-9 Certification (PD K-9 Cert.)

400 hour PD K-9 Certification Course includes:


-  20 Hours In-Class Instruction

- 100 Hours Obedience Work

- 100 Criminal Apprehension / Man Work

-  40 Hours Building Search

-  40 Hours Area Search

- 100 Hours Electives (Agility, Article Search, Man Tracking, & etc.)

 

Each K-9 Team must document (including a SDAssoc. Certified Trainer's signature) their compliance with the course requirements, as well as, pass a Demonstration and Evaluation of Proficiency covering all above areas to earn the Patrol Duty K-9 Certification (PD K-9 Cert.) designation.
