7.) "Friend or Foe"

Equipment:

  • Two decoy/thugs in full bitesuits.
  • Two decoy/friends with protection, preferably full bitesuits.
  • A vehicle with window down.
  • A building to enter and exit or something to step behind and then reappear.

"Friend or Foe" Scenario:

  • You exit your vehicle leaving you K-9 inside. The vehicle window should be left open so the K-9 could exit if required.
  • On your way into a minimart, you meet two old friends and greet each other enthusiastically. The K-9 must reccognize the friendly nature of this meeting and remain in your vehicle.
  • However: when you walk out of the minimart, two street thugs start harrassing you. You try to ignore them and proceed toward your vehicle but the harrassment esclates even more.
  • When the harrassment turns more violent,  your K-9 partner should exit the vehicle to assist you.
  • The K-9 must come to your assistance and apprehend the thug scuffeling with you. The other thug run off.
  • You command the K-9 to release and guard the first thug while you search him.
  • The thug attacks you while you are attempting to search him.
  • Your K-9 guarding the thug must immediately stop the attacker without requiring a command to do so.
  • The K-9 must release on command and again guard the thug while you finish searching him.
  • The scenario ends with you returning to your K-9.
